Native Affairs - Lost in the Woods

New Zealand's forestry industry has one of the highest rates of work-related deaths and serious accidents.

The rate of ACC claims for this sector is almost six times the rate of any other industry.  Poor work safety has been a major concern for decades and for families of forestry workers killed or maimed on the job, the question is why do unsafe work practices continue?

And why have the majority of deaths been young Māori men like Robert Epapara, who was killed earlier this year.  Iulia Leilua reports.
