Te Rōpū Taurima o Manukau held a welcoming ceremony for the Ministry of Health, this comes days after the Ministry said it had begun an independent audit into the Māori disabilities services at Te Rōpū Taurima o Manukau Trust following allegations of misappropriation of funds.
Te Rōpū Taurima says three advisers have been appointed by the Ministry to support, the trust's operations during a forensic audit of historical activity at the trust.
CEO Malcolm Robson says, "We welcome the Ministry and advisers, and look forward to collaborating with them through this process. The focus of all involved is as always on the quality of service and care to our mokopuna, who remain our top priority."
The audit has begun but there has been no indication as to when the audit by the Ministry is to be completed.
