Rino Tirikatene of the Labour Party is well ahead in Te Tai Tonga with just under 30% of the votes counted so far.
Rino Tirikatene is on just over 2300 votes and Ngaire Button of the Māori Party is on just over 1250 votes while Dora Roimata Langsbury is just uner 800 votes at the moment. Georgina Beyer of the MANA Movement is just under 600 votes.
Leading the party vote in Te Tai Tonga is the Labour Party with 1912 votes so far and behind them are the Greens on just under 1000 and National is currently in third place with just over 700 votes.
