MMA champ Faith Van Duin to fight Amanda Bell in Invicta FC 12

MMA female featherweight champ Faith Van Duin will fight Amanda Bell next month in Invicta FC 12. She is in Auckland to watch the Black Caps take on South Africa but had time to talk to Tamati Tiananga about her upcoming fight.

Family time ahead of her highly anticipated fight against Amanda Bell in Kansas City, America April 24 has been Faith's focus this week.

Faith Van Duin from Ngāpuhi says "It's been nice and relaxing. I got to sleep in then go for a run. I don't sleep much at home".

This morning Faith and her two daughters and grandmother headed off to the Cricket World Cup semi final, courtesy of her youngest daughter who won tickets in a competition.

Although today is all about family and Cricket, she still has her thinking cap on and spent some time sparring with City Kickboxing's fighters Israel Adesanya and others to prepare for Amanda.

Faith was originally expected to make her promotional debut at Invicta FC 10 in December of 2014 against Charmaine Tweet. However Charmaine had to pull out due to medical reasons.

Van Duin made mention of the fact that "She had to have extra scans on her head because she was a little older and they had found a black spot".

Faith says her ground work will be her advantage going into this fight. She leaves for Kansas City 20th April.
