Who owns Lake Waikaremoana in the southern Urewera? A group of descendants of the original owners took a case to the Māori Land Court today to have the ownership of the lake bed revisited. The descendants, members of the Ruapani iwi are at odds with their neighbours - and to support their claim they have placed a rāhui over the lake.
