Ngāti Wai kaumātua are up in arms after the members of the Trust board refused to remove a marae representative, despite the marae unanimously voting no confidence in its representative.
The decision led to half of the Ngāti Wai Trust Board walking out of a board meeting and kaumātua are urging the board to adhere to the calls made by the marae they represent.
