A search is underway for a person missing at Ruapuke Beach near Raglan believed to have fallen into the water fishing from rocks.
The incident at Papanui Point was reported to police about 9.30am Sunday, according to an NZ Herald report.
An aerial search by helicopter and ground search of the area have been carried out.
