Fireworks

This is the sixth consecutive year the Authority has closed maunga to the public to prevent fire hazards.

The Tūpuna Maunga Authority will close the maunga during the Guy Fawkes period from Saturday, 2 November, until Tuesday, 5 November, due to the fire risk.

The Tūpuna Maunga Authority in a statement said they will close 14 mountains from November 2 to November 5.
