Three Strikes law

The coalition government is toughening up its new 'three strikes' law, saying it has received that the original version did not go far enough.

Minister Nicole McKee is defending the coalition government’s new ‘three strikes’ law, saying if violent criminals are “locked up in prison”.

The Government has reinstated the Three Strikes Bill as it continues to prioritise the restoration of law and order by being tough on crime.

In today's media release Prime Minister Christopher Luxon was joined by Associate Justice minister Nicole Mckee to discuss the reinstatement of the three strikes legislation.
