Two Auckland bus drivers have been assaulted in the past week.

New groundbreaking Māori research released today shows the connection between family and sexual violence and poor housing.

Shine senior adviser Rachel Kain said the rate of family violence being reported to the organisation was “at an all-time high”.

"We can’t keep doing more of what we’re doing and expect change," Professor Denise Wilson said.

The violence he suffered from was uncalled for and ‘could’ve been handled better.’
